Amir Issa

Dr. Amir Issa is a double board-certified interventional specialist whose clinical practice focuses on advanced interventional pain management and venous disease treatment. He is certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM) , the highest and most prestigious certification for interventional vein specialists. In addition, he is a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS), further demonstrating advanced expertise in venous diagnostics.

ABVLM-certified physicians undergo rigorous training and must pass a comprehensive examination to demonstrate mastery in the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disorders. This distinction reflects Dr. Issa’s commitment to delivering the highest level of evidence-based, minimally invasive care.

Dr. Issa completed his transitional internship at Weill Cornell Medical School, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He then pursued a Clinical Research Internship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he developed a special interest in cancer-related pain management.

He completed his residency at New York Medical College at St. Michael’s, followed by an Interventional Pain Fellowship affiliated with the North American Spine Society, where he mastered advanced spine procedures, including minimally invasive skeletal and vascular interventions.

Dr. Issa is an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Vein & Lymphatic Society. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and is frequently invited to lecture on interventional pain and venous disease.
